EAT BREAKFAST!
By now I hope you all know that breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. However, your early morning meal is like a good joke: timing is everything. It is important to eat breakfast early. Delaying your first meal of the day can begin the slow down process of your metabolism. You need to eat to stoke the fires or your metabolism.
If you tend to skip breakfast or wait until later in the morning to eat it, try setting your alarm 10 minutes earlier. Throw a banana in a blender with some 2% milk, scoop of whey protein and ice. Hard boil some eggs the night before!
Ten extra morning minutes will give you enough time to make toast with almond butter and eat it. Or at least make and eat a bowl of Kashi or shredded wheat cereal!
With a good breakfast you can, in essence, lose weight eating more food—and you’ll feel great in the process. But here’s the best news: This requires neither the knowledge of a chef nor long hours in the kitchen. Just lay out a game plan before you go to bed and then allow yourself a few extra minutes the next day to make it happen.

- Whole grain toast with almond butter
- Shredded wheat with blueberries and skim milk
- Spinach and feta cheese omlette (2 eggs)
- Chobani yogurt (just 140 kcal and 14 grams of protein!)
- Flax seed smoothie- milk, frozen strawberries, one scoop whey and 1/2 t ground flax seed- Yummmmy!
Still insist on waiting to eat until lunch? Running to MickyD’s because you don’t have time to plan to be healthy. Better enjoy it- You’ll be wearing more of it on your body because you refuse to do all you can to change your body’s metabolism…. Think about it.
